Do I have to have my yearbook picture taken by Bell Photographers?
That is a decision that each school makes individually.
Currently, however, all of the high schools that we take pictures for
requires you to have your yearbook picture taken by us. We offer tux &
drape services during most picture days. If you missed your picture day, please
contact your local studio to make an appointment for your yearbook picture, be sure
and do this as soon as possible as many high school yearbook deadlines are in October and November!
How do I make an appointment for a Senior Session?
To make an appointment for your senior sitting, just give us a call. Click here to view our
studio locations and contact information. We have contracted with a few schools to do shoots on-location at the school.
If this applies to your school, a packet containing all the information will be sent home prior to the shoot.
How long will my senior session take?
It all depends on you! We encourage you to bring props with you and clothing changes as
allowed by your session time slot. With each session, we take the time we need to make you look your best.
On average, our senior sessions last 1 to 2 hours.
When will I get my proofs?
Bell Photographers retains the copyright on all portraits in the proof portfolio.
How do I order from my proofs?
Included with the proof portfolio is all of the information that you will need to order.
Click here to view our packages and price list. We offer proof viewing sessions at our studios,
just call to make your appointment. Or you can call in your order. If you call in, please have
the proof portfolio in front of you with all of your choices and credit card information. We accept all major credit cards.
Since your portraits are a custom product, payment of 50% on your total order is required when you place your order.
All orders will be shipped COD (unless you paid in full when you ordered) in approximately 4-6 weeks.
What should I wear for my Senior Session?
Pictures look better with bright colors. Try to avoid wearing white,
or pale yellow as these colors tend to make the wearer look washed out. If you are choosing a
session that allows for clothing changes, bring a variety of clothing; formal, casual, your sports uniform,
letterman's sweater or jacket, etc. We have caps & gowns in your school's colors available at all our studios.
What if I need my pictures retouched?
We offer complimentary retouching on all images purchased from our packages or Ala Carte menus.
Proofs are not retouched. Retouching includes removing blemishes, stray hairs, or spots on clothing.
We try not remove any identifying marks such as scars or moles. If you would like these things removed, please let
us know when you place your order. We cannot completely remove redness from sunburns or lines from tan lines,
so please keep this in mind a few weeks before your session. We do not remove braces.

What should I wear on picture day?
Pictures look better with bright colors.
Try to avoid wearing white, or pale yellow as these colors tend to make the wearer look washed out.
Please be aware that many school districts do not allow tank tops, hats or bandannas to be worn in pictures for the yearbook.
Will my glasses glare in the picture?
Glasses are a tricky subject. Some glasses won't glare at all, while some glasses will
glare no matter what. We will do all we can to get the glare out of your glasses. There are times, however, that no matter what,
we cannot remove the glare. In those cases, we will have you take your glasses off.
When is my school's picture day?
We always send picture announcement flyers to the school at least 1 week before the picture day.
If you haven't received your picture announcement flyer, give your school a call. They will have the day/time information you need.
If you need to get more information, feel free to
contact us.
When will my pictures be delivered to the school?
Your pictures will be delivered to the school about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks after the shoot date.
We will have all pictures and retakes back to you before the Winter Holidays break.
I missed picture day at my school. What can I do?
Typically, we will be back at the school for a make up day about 4-6 weeks after the original shoot date.
We will send home a flyer letting you know just what day it will be. The school will also have the date we will be back,
if you need to know before you receive the flyer.
I missed my school's retake day. What can I do?
You can call our main office and ask for a school near you that we will be at soon,
you will be welcome to come and have your picture taken there. Or, you may make an appointment at one of our studios.
If you just can't make it in for a retake and don't like your pictures, we can issue a refund to you.
What if I don't like my pictures or am undecided about whether or not to keep my pictures?
If you didn't like the portraits of you child, just bring the entire package --
including the sack they came in -- back on retake day. Have your student give the portraits
to the receptionist, and we will take new pictures. It's that easy!!
If you aren't sure about your pictures, you may want
to buy another package on retake day. After you receive the retakes package, you may send back the package you don't like to us
and we will give you a full refund on that package. Please note that packages may not be combined when returning your package.
I didn't like my retake pictures either. What should I do?
If you just are not satisfied with you child's portraits,
we will gladly issue you a refund. Just give us a call at our main office within 30 days of receiving
your portraits. When you call, please have the picture sack, the name of your child, and the name of school.
After you call in, you will need to send your old portraits back to our office. Refunds take about 4-6 weeks.
I think that I am missing pictures. How can I get the rest of my package?
If you are missing portraits, please fill in the form that came with your portraits
and mail it in,
contact us via our web page, or give us a call! We will get the sizes you are missing out to you as soon as we can.
I just love my child's portrait! How can I order more?
You can order more pictures by mailing in the completed form that came with your portraits.
Reorders are priced on a per unit -- an 8"x10" is 1 unit -- basis, rather than in packages. If you think you might need more prints, you can save money buy including
it in your original order.
I don't like my student's class picture. What should I do?
We look at each picture taken of any given class. We will then choose the image that has the most
individuals looking their best. This means that there may be students with eyes closed, head turned etc.
Our photographers and lab technicians do their best to capture and produce the best possible images.
We print all of the class pictures from the best over all image. Unfortunately, we cannot produce just one or two class pictures from another image.
Why is my child's name misspelled on the class picture?
We have the teachers fill out the name information for the standing class pictures.
We copy the names as they are written. If there is ever a question on spelling,
we compare the information provided by the school against what the teacher has written.
With composite class pictures, we send at least 1 set of proofs (sometimes up to 3 proofs) to the teachers to
have them correct any errors before we print the final composites. Once we receive the final proof back,
we print the composites. If your child's name is misspelled, chances are the student's teacher didn't catch it.
